Make the most out of your Maasai Mara experience by taking guided game drives with one of our professional Maasai driver guides who know the reserve inside out!

The Sekenani gate is just a 15 minute drive from our farm and the reserve is open for game drives from 6am to 6pm so you can opt to go out for the whole day or to go out for a shorter time.

Rates per guided vehicle:

~ Full day guided game drive (11-12 hours) $200

~ Half day guided game drive (5-6 hours) $150 

~ Full day guided game drive including the Mara Triangle (11-12 hours) $250 

Your personal park entry fee is payable on top directly to the park gate on entry which is:

~ $100 per non-resident adult January–June & $200 per non-resident adult July-December

~ $50 per non-resident child aged 8-17 years throughout the year. (Up to a maximum entry time of 12hrs).

The Maasai village visit activity takes around 1 hour and you will typically be given a demonstration of Maasai dance, taken around a traditional 'boma' and shown how the Maasai make fire with sticks before going to their curio shop. It’s a good opportunity to take photos and also ask the Maasai questions about their culture but you will need to be prepared to practice your negotiation skills in their shop!

Cost $20 per person inclusive of transport. Children 12 years and under 50% rate when accompanied by an adult.

During this activity you will enjoy a BBQ bush dinner under the stars as the sun goes down. Have a few drinks around the campfire, witness a traditional Maasai dance performance, and afterwards have the opportunity to toast some marshmallows on the fire, before calling it a night. 

Cost $50 per person inclusive of three course dinner, two beers or sodas and Maasai dance entertainment. Children 12 years and under 50% rate when accompanied by an adult. (Pre-booking of at least 24hrs required).

If you’re looking for a more strenuous hiking opportunity you can head out for a Maasai guided hike up Leruk Hill. Climbing this 2025m hill will give you beautiful views over the Maasai Mara ecosystem as you look out for tracks, birds and signs of the resident wildlife. Learn about the traditional medicine trees and shrubs from your Maasai guide as you go.

Cost $30 per person inclusive of transport. Children 12 years and under 50% rate when accompanied by an adult.

Following a pre-dawn pick up around 4.45am, you will take a breathtaking sunrise balloon flight over the Maasai Mara plains for around 1 hour before landing for a champagne-style picnic breakfast in the bush. Enjoy a short game drive on your way back here where you can expect to arrive around 11am. Reasonable health and fitness is required for entering and exiting the basket.

Cost $450 per person, suitable for children 8 years and above, inclusive of transport, 1 hour balloon flight and breakfast. 

If you would like to get a more authentic experience of Maasai life and culture, we can organise overnight stays at the homestead of local Maasai, James Lesaloi and his family. Here you will partake in activities such as herding, milking, fetching water and firewood, beading, learning to throw a spear and shoot a bow and arrow.

Cost $75 per person per night inclusive of transport to the homestay, basic accommodation, meals and village activities. Children 12 years and under 50% rate when accompanied by an adult. 

The Beats of Beads Museum is located next to Sekenani main gate to the Maasai Mara reserve. It is a Kenyan non-profit organisation set up for the empowerment of women. It is the only museum in Africa dedicated to the art of (East African) beading.

Entry and a guided tour with a local Maasai woman costs $5 per person. 

A guided tour and 1 hour bracelet beading session with a local Maasai woman costs $20 per person (must be pre-booked).

If  you love camping and adventure, we can organise to set up our mobile bush camp inside the Maasai Mara national reserve, and you can combine camping in the wild on the banks of Sand River with your game drives.

Our team will set up 2 man camping dome tents with camp beds, mattresses and sleeping bags, and our chef will prepare delicious meals for you under the stars by the campfire. Here we are often visited by wildlife but we have armed rangers with us for safety.

The cost to set up the bush camp, including armed rangers, is $150 per night, and there is a $40 per person camping fee payable to the Maasai Mara national reserve. Normal park entry and game drive vehicle fees also apply,  plus  full board accommodation in our dome tents with camp beds, mattresses and sleeping bags costs $80 per person per night. (Pre-booking of at least 48hrs required).
